Instant Neighbour Charity
- VO102072
Instant Neighbour, based in Aberdeen City and Shire, has been supporting the local community since 1984. As a charity dedicated to alleviating poverty and improving quality of life, we provide essential services such as emergency food parcels, affordable furniture and household goods, and wrap-around support through initiatives like our Community Connector. We are also proud to be an environmental charity, actively promoting sustainability through reuse and recycling initiatives.
As we approach an exciting new chapter in our development, Instant Neighbour is seeking passionate and skilled individuals to join our Board of Directors. This includes recruiting a new Chair, as our current Chair is retiring after a successful 10 years of dedicated leadership at the helm.
We are particularly interested in professionals with expertise in digital, marketing, or branding, to help guide us through a period of growth and innovation. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the strategic direction of a well-established charity while making a tangible difference to individuals and families in need.
Our focus for the future includes expanding our environmental credentials, enhancing our digital presence, and continuing to meet the evolving needs of our community. With your skills and passion, you can play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Instant Neighbour and making a lasting impact on the lives of those we serve.
The Chair is expected to commit approximately 2-3 days per month, including attendance at quarterly Board meetings, strategic planning sessions, and additional meetings as required.
Board Members should expect to commit around 1 day per month, with quarterly Board meetings.
