Gardening Volunteer

Our charity provides services that promote physical, mental, emotional, and community wellbeing, support low-income families, foster community cohesion, combat isolation and champion sustainability and the circular economy.

As a Gardening volunteer, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of our community garden, keeping the external spaces around our community hub tidy, vibrant and bright and well maintained, as well as growing produce for use in our community cafe. The role will involve: maintaining and enhancing the green spaces around the community hub; sourcing plants and equipment to maintain and enhance the garden; planting, weeding, watering, general maintenance; growing produce for use in our community cafe; planning and planting a sensory garden for community use.

In return, we offer employability skills training, agreed volunteer outcomes, or simply the chance to meet and socialise with like-minded people and to be part of a vital rural community hub.

No experience is needed – we provide full training and support to help you feel confident in your role. Young people can work towards their Saltire Awards with our volunteering scheme.

Our facility is fully accessible.
