A volunteer to teach chess to children and young people from Kurdish/Turkish backgrounds.
Volunteering details
We are looking for someone who can come along to teach children and young people from Kurdish/Turkish backgrounds how to play chess. It would be at the Alevi Kurdish autonomous centre in Niddrie. It is a very flexible opportunity and could be a weekly thing, or one off or some other arrangement. The children/young people speak fluent English and range in age.
Travel details
Pir Sultan Abdal Cultural Centre and Cemevi (Pir-Der), 7 Niddrie Marischal Gardens, Edinburgh EH16 4LX. Accessible by bus - bus stop just near the centre. Bikes can be locked out front. Free parking available on site.
