Be part of the 1st ever Port of Leith Distillery Abseil 2025. Steward and interact with participants before and during their much anticipated fundraising challenge.

Port of Leith Distillery Abseil 2025
On Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th May 2025, our charity are holding the first ever Port of Leith Distillery Abseil. This 100ft abseil will help to raise money for not only our charity but for other local causes.
We are looking for volunteers to help with stewarding participants to the start of the abseil from the registration area and making sure they know where to go. This volunteer will also be interacting with everyone taking part in the challenge.

Address: 11 Whisky Quay, Edinburgh EH6 6FH
Parking for the distillery is at the Red Car Park of Ocean Terminal Shopping Centre.
By Tram:
Stop at Ocean Terminal. Operating from every 7mins, 6am - midnight 7 days a week.
By Bus: Lothian Buses
Service Number 10, 34, 35, 36 and 200 /Airport Bus - frequent service to Ocean Terminal from the city centre.
Service Number 16 - disembark at Commercial Street, the centre is a short walk.
By Train:
Edinburgh Waverley Train Station located in the City Centre is approximately 15mins by public transport from Ocean Terminal. There is a taxi rank within the train station and the tram or bus can be picked up near the station.

Training details

Before the day, the event manager will liaise with the volunteer to give them all the event details and what is expected on them on the day. On event day they will be shown where the route to the abseil starting point is and where they have to stand in order to direct participants.
