Clan Cancer Support Volunteers

Leading north-east cancer charity, Clan Cancer Support is appealing for volunteers in Elgin to support local people impacted by cancer.

The charity is currently seeking volunteers to offer its vital listening and support service which enables people impacted by a diagnosis to speak to someone about their cancer journey.

Driver volunteers are further required in Moray to support the charity’s transport service which runs daily to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary using Clan’s hybrid vehicle.

Clan recommends that listening support volunteers commit to a minimum of three and a half hours of time per week.

Driver volunteers are required to have a full clean driving licence and have flexible availability, with their hours determined by pre-arranged medical appointments.

No other experience is required for any of the advertised opportunities with all training provided by the charity. Successful applicants will be invited to attend a two-day training course in Aberdeen in either March or April ahead of taking on their new voluntary positions.
