Each session lasts 90 minutes and we ask volunteers to commit 2-3 hours per session. This includes arriving 15 minutes prior to groups starting then staying until an end-of-session debrief has taken place.

They bring a wealth of experience, life skills and knowledge from their various backgrounds. They provide a non-judgemental listening ear which enables parents to develop trust, which helps to build confidence in an emotionally safe environment.

We welcome applications from interested individuals who’d like to join our team and contribute their skills and experience to helping families.
What you will be doing:
Attend parent & toddler group for isolated and vulnerable families
Help with the play activities with the children
Sit down with the parents and listen to their concerns about parenting and life in general

Experience required

Listening skills, Experience of being a parent. Able to relate to children

Travel details

Elgin, Forres

Travel expenses

Expenses should be completed monthly

Support

Training details

Induction will be offered by the project manager and the family worker, explaining the local procedures. Training will be made available as appropriate. There is regular process of appraisals.
