Local Wilder (Outdoor Group Leader)

Local Wilders help run a local outdoors community group (including the Facebook admin and engagement, organising, collaborating on and running events as well as generally overseeing the direction of the group. The main time commitment for this role is running meet-ups with women outdoors in your local areas to help build a community of supportive women going on adventures together. we ask for a commitment of arranging 8 meet ups per year. We run meet ups in the oudoors maining on local walks, cycles, camping or wild swimming. However you do not need experience in all of these to volunteer.

Experience required

You will need organisational skills and a passion for the group as it can take a lot of effort especially when the group is small and unestablished. No specific outdoor qualifications are required but some experience in the outdoors is necessary. This does not need to be lots just confidence on local easy walks and/or cycle rides.
