Adult Volunteers

From a small handful of girls who gate crashed the first ever Scout rally, demanding ‘something for the girls’, Girlguiding has grown into a vast and vibrant network of members across the UK.

Girlguiding Scotland is a Scottish charity supporting almost 40,000 girls and young women and just under 9,000 amazing volunteers. Girls can do anything. We help them know that, whether they’re 4 or 18 or in between. All girls have a home at Girlguiding Scotland - whoever they are. We show them a world of possibilities, big and small. We help them think big and be bold in a space where they can be themselves, get creative, explore, and have fun. We’re a powerful collective voice – with girls, led by girls – changing the world for the better.

We’re made up of Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Rangers from the Borders to the Highlands who come together to laugh, learn, explore and have adventures, in communities across Scotland and virtually.

By volunteering with us, you’ll be helping girls build their confidence, have adventures and learn new skills. It doesn’t matter what your experience or background is, or how much time you have.

Plus, volunteering for Girlguiding is a great way of meeting new people and taking a break from your daily routine. Whatever it is you’re looking for, there’ll be something in it for you.

Volunteers should register their interest via the Girl Guiding website at https://go.girlguiding.org.uk/join-us/join-as-volunteer/
