Fundraising Support Volunteers

*About Aberdeen Blueberry Wellness
Aberdeen Blueberry Wellness (ABW) is a social enterprise dedicated to promoting health in every community. We deliver fitness programs tailored to support individuals, particularly women going through peri-menopause and menopause, using exercise as a natural hormone therapy. Our mission is to empower people to lead healthier lives, strengthen community well-being, and reduce pressure on the NHS by fostering a healthy workforce.

*Role Overview
We are seeking a passionate Volunteer Fundraiser to support our CEO in securing financial resources to grow our impact. This role is crucial for securing funding from local and national governments, grant-making bodies, and corporate sponsors to establish and expand ABW’s reach. We are a small organisation and you have the ability to make a massive impact.

*Key Responsibilities:
• Help research and identify funding opportunities from trusts, foundations, and government sources.
• Prepare and submit compelling grant applications and funding proposals.
• Support the CEO in developing long-term fundraising strategies.
• Explore sponsorship and partnership opportunities with local businesses and organisations.
• Maintain relationships with funders and ensure timely reporting on fund usage and impact.
• Organise fundraising campaigns and community initiatives to generate additional income.

*What We’re Looking For:
• Proven experience in fundraising, grant writing, or bid applications.
• Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to craft persuasive proposals.
• Knowledge of funding streams relevant to social enterprises, health initiatives, and community development.
• Passion for health and fitness, particularly in supporting women’s well-being.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with the CEO and team.

*What You’ll Gain:
• The opportunity to make a real difference in community health and wellness.
• Hands-on experience in social enterprise fundraising.
• The chance to contribute to an impactful and growing organisation.

An exciting time to join us and make a real difference. All volunteers are greatly appreciated.
