To work with the TSH staff team and Lead Volunteer to The Courtyard Collective Community
Charity Shop to become a community asset in tackling poverty and reducing our carbon footprint
in the Western Isles
Experience required
Interested in working with people of all ages from all different walks of life.
• Good listeners and communicators.
• Willing to read and follow the guidance provided about the role and to ask for help from staff
where needed.
• To attend volunteer meetings and ongoing training.
• Diligent, with positive aspirations and motivations for volunteering.
• Willing to observe the organisation's guidelines and policies.
• Reliable, patient, kind, sensitive, caring and happy to be part of a team.
• Willing to undertake a PVG check and to provide details of two referees.
• Understanding of the need for and able to keep confidentiality.
• To use TeamUp, our volunteer app, to sign up for volunteering at events.
Travel details
• We will pay you travel expenses when you submit a completed timesheet each month.
• Complimentary hospitality is provided for volunteers, including snacks and lunches where
required.
Restrictions
Minimum age: 18
Volunteers (aged 18-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
