Recovery Scotland North Lanarkshire is seeking to expand our team of volunteers.

If you are over 18 and have a passion for supporting individuals in their recovery journey and assisting with community engagement, the Community Volunteer position could be a great fit for you.

Volunteers will assist in our Recovery Cafés, which operate daily in Airdrie, Coatbridge, Cumbernauld, and Motherwell. These cafés serve as welcoming spaces for the recovery community to gather, unwind, and socialise over tea, coffee, and light snacks.

This fulfilling role requires a commitment of approximately five hours once or twice a week during café hours.

Ideal candidates will possess strong boundaries, reliability, friendliness, punctuality, and a desire to help others connect within the recovery community.

Experience required

You will have the opportunity to volunteer within an addiction recovery service, engaging with the recovery community.
While prior experience in this field is advantageous, it is not a requirement. Both personal and acquired experiences are valued.
Must be in recovery for at least 3 months.
We are also looking for people who can cook for a large group on a budget.
People who have other skills in e:g therapeutic treatments, yoga, dancers, crafters.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old, dependable, timely, and possess a friendly demeanour, along with the ability to maintain appropriate boundaries. Continuous training and support will be provided throughout your volunteering journey.
