Trustee

Carr Gomm is a leading Scottish social care and community development charity.

We provide support to over 4,500 people each week to enable them to live safe, full and purposeful lives. Our work is grounded in person-centred support and enabling people to live their best possible lives.

We are currently looking for energetic and passionate people to join our Board of Trustees (also known as Directors) and help us achieve our aims.

Trustees help steer Carr Gomm’s strategy and ensure we stay true to our purpose. As a Trustee you will oversee our assets and reputation, and make sure decisions always put the people we support first. Trustees focus on the bigger picture-shaping direction, staying true to our mission and aims.

Experience required

There are no specific qualifications or prior board experience needed – we value your skills and lived experiences more. We are looking for people who share our values of respect, interdependence, choice, control, openness & honesty and kindness & compassion. However, if you have professional experience in law, accountancy, marketing or IT this would be a great addition to the range of skills our board currently has.

We want to build a diverse board and actively encourage applications from people of all backgrounds – particularly those from Black, Asian, and minority ethnic communities.
