Volunteer Coffee Morning Helper

As a Coffee Morning Volunteer, you’ll support staff in setting up and running the session, creating a
relaxed and social environment for attendees. You’ll help move tables and chairs to make the space
accessible and welcoming, assist in preparing and serving refreshments, and help tidy up afterward.
We’re looking for volunteers who:
• Are friendly, welcoming, and enjoy chatting with others.
• Are reliable and happy to work as part of a team.
• Can follow guidance from staff and take the initiative when needed.
• Are comfortable helping with light physical tasks like setting up tables and chairs.
• Are willing to serve refreshments and help with washing up.
• Can help create a positive, inclusive atmosphere during the coffee morning.
• Are happy to follow our policies, including health and safety and safeguarding.
• Are open to attending any required training for the role.

Activities you may be involved in:
• Setting up and arranging tables and chairs to create a welcoming space.
• Preparing and serving tea, coffee, and other refreshments to attendees.
• Circulating during the event, chatting with attendees, and ensuring everyone feels included.
• Ensuring the music is playing, and the atmosphere is positive and enjoyable.
• Helping with the washing up and tidying away at the end of the session.
• Returning the space to its original setup after the event is finished.
• Assisting staff and fellow volunteers with any other tasks as needed.
