Youth Programme

No matter how good our services are, we can't properly support our users/community well if we don't have good leadership in the team. If this sounds like you?... we would love you to consider volunteering with us for a few hours per week.

Our Vision
We are committed to creating an environment where young people:
Feel safe, included, and respected
Have a sense of ownership over their space and experiences
Can build positive, lasting relationships with peers and mentors

We offer opportunities based on the interests of the young people themselves. Activities may include:

Activity-based games and team-building tasks
Games consoles, laptops, and internet access
Arts & crafts and baking
Chill-out zones for downtime
Outdoor play and creative sessions

Our Group Sessions
Our youth programs are age-specific, serving children and young people aged 5 to 16. Groups are carefully split by age to ensure all activities and mentoring are appropriate, engaging, and effective for each stage of development.

Main Duties:
To ensure the room are prepared and set up in line with health and safety requirements

To mentor / supervise your allocated group session

To bring new ideas and activities appropriate to the age level of the group you are assigned to.

To support and assist in ensuring we have a wide range of activities/ games to keep the group stimulated while encouraging them to take ownership of activities.

To ensure recording of weekly attendance and any other administration duties required.

To follow protocols for ensuring the service is provided to a high standard.

To ensure risk assessments are in place for all activities.

To plan activities and risk assessment for any outings or trips out with Ben View.

To report to Youth Club leader and issues or concerns in line with the policies covered at induction.

To attend support sessions, induction sessions and periodic training events are required.

So, whether you are looking to use your time well, update your skills or have the chance to do something a bit new, we would love to hear from you. In return, we can offer you a warm welcome and all of the support and help you could need.

We are seeing a rise in demand for our services, every day. Having your help will allow us to be there for the people who need us. Any time you can give will make a real difference.
