Hours: Volunteer hours are flexible—contribute as much or as little time as suits you

Responsibilities:



  • Engage with BILoT members to share news about borrowing sessions and skill-sharing events

  • Create content to promote volunteering opportunities to expand the volunteer team and working group membership

  • Create engaging content about the BILoT to grow membership and attract suitable donations of items

  • Writing press releases and news stories

  • Create content to share stories from borrowers, events and volunteers

  • Promote the Black Isle Library of Things by attending local events and distributing flyers


NB. The Communications and Social Media volunteers will collaborate closely, leveraging each other's expertise to create and share engaging content that promotes the Black Isle Library of Things .

Training in use of the BILoT inventory management database will be provided.

Restrictions

Minimum age: 18

Volunteers (aged 18-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
