Household Support Volunteer

The Big House Project (formally known as the Big Hoose) has an agreement with Amazon which enables multi million pounds worth of donations of household goods be distributed to children and families living in poverty across Fife. The Project works in partnership with Fife Council’s welfare reform staff, other charities, social workers, health visitors etc. on a referral method. FVA is a partner of the Big House Project and provide an additional sorting and collection location to service Dunfermline and South West Fife families, from our Dunfermline Community Support Hub.

The volunteer’s role will involve facilitating deliveries from the Big House Project, sorting donated goods onto shelves, stock control, organising, and packing supplies for partners to collect on site to support families in Dunfermline and SW Fife.

Experience required

You should be reliable, trustworthy and have good communication skills. With good organisational skills

Petrol at 45p per mile or public transport

Training will involve aspects of the role and your responsibilities, confidentiality and data protection along with some communication skills and any other relevant training
