Drop-In and Hub Support Volunteer

Adelphe works to empower women from ethnic minority backgrounds by providing tailored coaching, mentorship, and practical workshops that foster growth, professional success, and a strong sense of community, ensuring that every woman is seen, heard, and empowered.
Adelphe runs hubs, which are safe, welcoming spaces where women and families can connect, feel supported, and access resources.
They are looking for drop-in and hub support volunteers. The main duties are to:
● Welcome participants warmly and make them feel at ease.

● Provide befriending and listening support.

● Assist with signposting to services.


● Help with registrations and attendance logs.


● Set up and tidy the space before and after sessions.
As an Adelphe volunteer, you can gain experience in community engagement and facilitation, develop confidence in working with diverse groups, and gain references and certificates for your volunteering.


Experience required

● Friendly and approachable.
● Good communication and listening skills.
● Respectful of confidentiality and cultural diversity.
● Reliable and willing to volunteer as part of a team.

Travel details

Adelphe runs a hub with the Community Support Hub in Dunfermline's Kingsgate Centre, KY12 7QU.

Travel expenses

Expenses can be discussed on a 1-1 basis.

Training details

Volunteers will receive an induction to Adelphe, and will have ongoing support from other members of the team.
