The Aberdeen Tenants & Residents Partnership is about giving you real opportunities to contribute to and influence all decisions relating to homes and your living conditions.
Contribute to the housing service reviews and give tenant and resident recommendations. Speak directly with council officers, have input of how we can improve the housing services with Aberdeen City Council. Work with other social landlords with our partner organisation NETRALT (North East Tenants Residents And Landlords Together). Promote the work of group at local events around the city.
You can get involved in a number of ways, such as reviewing council services, attending events and conferences, and meeting with senior officers. And the best part, you can be involved with as much or as little as you like. We have a diverse group of tenants and residents who work well together and welcome all new people to join.
We have the following volunteering opportunities for people to be involved:
• Tenant and Resident Forum Volunteers - This group is open to all council tenants and residents of Aberdeen. To take part and have a say in the local housing service from Aberdeen City Council and speak directly to Senior Officers and Management.
• Event Volunteers - To help promote the organisation and speak to potential people who would be willing to take part in a number of groups, including reviewing council services.
• Housing Service Review Volunteers - To work on the current housing service review, interview staff, survey tenants and residents and come up with recommendations of improvements.
• Communication Group Volunteers - This groups works on the Newsbite magazine, Aberdeen City Council's website and videos.
• Aberdeen Sheltered & Amenity Housing Group - This group is open to all those living in the sheltered and amenity housing across Aberdeen. They meet every two months and usually have a representative of Bon Accord Care attend their meetings.
