Volunteers required for Music and Art workshops

We are inviting volunteers to come along to Project 42 - Airdrie held every Friday from 18:00-21:00 to assist our tutors with facilitating our weekly workshops.

Tasks will include:


  • Assist workshop facilitators in setting up and organising arts and crafts materials and equipment.

  • Welcome participants and help them feel comfortable and supported throughout the workshop.

  • Provide individualised assistance and guidance to participants as they work on their projects.

  • Ensure all service users are aware of our tea/coffee station and offering to bring them a hot drink.

  • Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere by encouraging creativity, collaboration, and self-expression.

  • Assist with cleanup and tidying after the workshop to ensure the space is safe and welcoming for all.

Our music tutor offers tuition on any of the following:



  • guitar

  • keyboard

  • drums

  • ukulele

  • much more ~ All instruments provided but service users encouraged to bring their own, if they have them,


Experience required


  • Passion for art and crafts and/or music and a willingness to share your enthusiasm with others.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with people from diverse backgrounds and abilities.

  • Patience, empathy, and a non-judgmental attitude towards participants' creative endeavors.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take direction from workshop facilitators.

  • Previous experience in arts and crafts, music, teaching, or working with dive


Travel details

Chapelside Community Facility is accessible by public transport and a bus stop can be found on Chapel Street. The facility is only a 10-minute walk from the centre of the town. For those travelling by car, there is a car park attached to the facility.

Travel expenses

Reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed on production of a valid public transport ticket.
Fuel will be reimbursed at a rate of 45p per mile from your home to Chapelside Community Centre, Airdrie and back again.
