Intergenerational Community Connector

Join GWT in it's vision to live in a Scotland where generations are more connected and help us on our mission to develop, expand and improve intergenerational practice across Scotland.
Volunteer and help raise awareness within your local community of the benefits of intergenerational practice bringing both old and young together. If you would like to get more involved in intergenerational working, learn more about the practice and help grow intergenerational relationships in your local area this is the role for you. Let's work together and help create more intergenerational communities.

A key component as an Intergenerational Community Connector (ICC) will be to raise awareness within your local community of the benefits of intergenerational practice in bringing both old and young together. Through networking within your local community you will bring people together from all organisations to exchange information and share good practise.

As a volunteer for GWT a core task is to raise awareness of GWT's vision, current events, and publications within your local networks and to promote local meetings, training sessions and events in your local area. With your local knowledge you will be able to support GWT in identifying suitable venues for organising network meetings and have the opportunity to help organise and attend 2 local network meetings a year.
Connecting within your local community you will encourage organisations and groups to share their intergenerational projects with GWT and their local network.

Volunteers will have the opportunity to further develop their own knowledge and understanding of intergenerational practice through training as well as attending other GWT events and keep abreast of developments in the intergenerational field.
