About Us:
The Haddington Bridge Centre is a welcoming hub for lifelong learning, offering inclusive educational programs, workshops, and support services for people of all ages and backgrounds. We believe in empowering our community through access to knowledge, skills, and opportunities.
Role Overview:
We’re seeking a creative and community-minded volunteer to help us share our story and engage our audience through social media. If you’re passionate about education, community development, and digital storytelling, we’d love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and schedule engaging content for platforms like Facebook, Instagram, etc
- Promote upcoming classes, workshops, and community events
- Highlight learner success stories, activity spotlights, and behind-the-scenes moments
- Collaborate with staff and the Board of Trustees to align content with our mission and calendar
- Monitor engagement and suggest ways to grow our online presence
Ideal Skills & Experience: - Familiarity with social media platforms and scheduling tools (e.g., Canva, Meta Business Suite)
- Strong writing and visual storytelling skills
- Interest in community education, adult learning, or social impact
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Bonus: Photography, video editing, or experience with accessibility-friendly content
