Volunteer - Support Assistant

This opportunity will involve supporting the work of SES staff across both training and administrative functions. Volunteers will play a key role in helping participants to access training, employment opportunities, and personal development support. The role is flexible and can be tailored to suit individual interests, skills, and availability.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

Training Support


Assisting Training & Employment Tutors during group sessions in Wellbeing, personal development and Employability.


Helping to prepare and organise training materials.


Monitoring break and lunchtime sessions to ensure a safe, welcoming environment.


Providing 1-to-1 support to young people where appropriate (depending on skills and experience).


Contacting past participants to check on progress and signpost further support.


Administrative Support


Providing general office administration as required.


Preparing training folders and resources.


Maintaining and updating attendance records.


Assisting with specific projects such as setting up databases, compiling reports, or tracking outcomes.


Supporting marketing and communications, including contributing to social media activities.

The volunteer role will give you the opportunity to contribute to the delivery of vital employability services, gain hands-on experience in both training and administration, and make a real difference to people moving forward in their education, training, and employment journeys.
