Volunteering at Vogrie Pogrie Festival

Vogrie Pogrie is growing every year and we’re looking for fun, considerate people to join our team of volunteers and help to make the festival a beautiful, magical success. We’re looking for people to:


  • assist with stewarding or workshop leaders, and ensure visitors have all the information they need.


-assist with managing fires and ensuring visitors safety
-helping out with kid’s activities


  • help pack everything away afterwards!


In exchange for your time, enthusiasm and help we will offer:



  • travel costs



  • Delicious meals from our crew catering plus tea, coffee and biscuits!



  • Free camping all weekend in our dedicated crew camping zone.



  • Experience in how we make the festival happen, opportunities to shadow someone and be part of our magnificently friendly team.



  • The opportunity to meet new friends and like-minded people.




Experience required

Honesty, hard-working, reliable and eager to help the public whilst making many new friends within the crew. Smiles go a long way! No specific experience required but we would like to hear from those who do.

Travel details

Buses from Dalkeith, Edinburgh and surrounding areas in Midlothian and beyond. Regular shuttle buses to the park from Gorebridge train station. Free car parking available for volunteers (lift sharing encouraged).

Travel expenses

Yes- reasonable local travel expenses are covered only.

Training details

All volunteers are given thorough guidance on roles before starting and multiple points of contact within the crew for any questions or concerns, and will be working closely with our volunteer team members. Regular breaks.

Restrictions

Minimum age: 16
No but we will need to made aware of any dietary requirements for our crew catering, and be advised that there a limited roles with seating available, and therefore most volunteers should be able to stand or move around for sustained periods
