BEE (Bold, Equal and Empowered) is a youth activist group at the Compass Centre in Lerwick. We meet weekly to speak about issues surrounding Gender Based Violence and safety within our communities, which we think are important to Shetland, Scotland and around the globe. Members are aged 13-25 and come from all over Shetland. Meetings are currently based in Lerwick as that is where the majority of our volunteers are located. Our volunteer coordinator would be happy to meet with young people in other locations in Shetland and hold meetings within their communities. Meetings can also be joined online or in an alternative location, to ensure this opportunity is accessible to anyone aged 13-25 in Shetland.
