Trustee

Are you interested in ensuring that older people have a say about their present and future, that they are treated with
respect and their contribution to society is recognised and appreciated?
Then why not consider joining us as a Trustee in SOPA, the Scottish Older People’s Assembly!

SOPA is in a period of organisational redevelopment, renewal and resilience building. To reach our potential, we are looking to appoint new Trustees to our Board.
This is an exciting time for SOPA, with challenges and opportunities which require strong support and leadership from
a skilled, active and inspiring Board.
Trustees will play a key role in supporting SOPA s mission to bring forth the voices of Scotland’s older population and to
ensure their huge contribution to Scotland’s social, cultural and economic landscape is recognised and appreciated - both within Scotland and beyond.
Experience of working in the voluntary, public or private sector is desired. Good governance, leadership and team-working are desirable.
We seek new Trustees to bring knowledge and
experience of any of the following: knowledge of issues affecting older people or finance or funding strategies.
We are looking for team players who can bring new introductions, broker new
partnerships, and breathe new life into existing ones.

Contact Louisa Turner by email or call 07477506815 (Tuesday or Wednesday) for a Trustee Pack, more information, or for a chat.
