Trustee / Co-Chair Opportunities

Help shape the future of justice, arts and community with Vox Liminis

About Vox Liminis

Vox Liminis is a small, creative community organisation working within Scotland’s criminal justice system. Since 2013, we’ve been sparking fresh conversations and connections through music, songwriting, creative writing, theatre and visual arts. We bring together people who have committed crimes, victims of crime, families, and professionals to imagine better responses to harm, conflict and justice.

We are based in Glasgow’s East End and work across Scotland and beyond. Learn more about our work: www.voxliminis.co.uk/about.

What We’re Looking For

We are recruiting 2–4 new Trustees, including future Chair / Co-Chairs, to join our Board from December 2025 onwards.

This is an exciting time to get involved: we’re entering a new leadership phase and have secured Creative Scotland multi-year funding (2025–2028), giving us a strong platform to grow.

We welcome people with a wide range of experiences, especially those with lived experience of the justice system.

Role & Time Commitment

Chair / Co-Chair: approx. 2–4 hrs per week (often less). We’re moving to a Co-Chair model, where two Trustees share responsibilities.
Trustee: approx. half-day per month.
Trustees serve a three-year term, with the Board meeting quarterly (online or in Glasgow). At least two in-person meetings per year, including one Away Day.
Additional contributions (e.g. sub-groups, mentoring) are optional.

We use MS Teams for communications and file-sharing.

Support for Trustees and Chairs: You won’t be on your own in these roles — Vox Liminis provides a full induction, a mentoring/buddy system, and ongoing training opportunities. Our staff team and fellow Board members will work alongside you, ensuring you feel supported and equipped to contribute effectively.

How to Apply

Applications for our first round (December 2025 appointments) close on Thursday 6 November 2025.
Shortlisted applicants will be invited for informal conversations.
We’ll continue to welcome Trustee applications into 2026.

To apply, or to request a chat with a current Board member, please click Apply at the bottom of this form (if registered and logged in). You’ll then receive our Trustee Recruitment Pack and short application form within five working days. If not, contact Vox Liminis directly (details provided), or reach out via Volunteer Glasgow.
