The event is on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th November from 12-5pm both days. it's running on Union Street, which will be closed for our Christmas market, and Regent Gardens.
We are looking for around 25 voluntary stewards for the 2 day event. There are a few different posts available, we require 10 - 15 stewards to cover the parade which is on Saturday only.
Parade stewards are needed from 3:30pm - 4:30pm, meeting at Barleybank, they are to walk alongside the parade, or at the front or at the back, just checking that everyone is following the route fine, and making sure pedestrians remain clear as the parade passes.
We need the other 10-15 stewards for the event space at Regent Gardens (Saturday only) and at exits/entrance points to the Market (Sat and Sun) to ensure safety to customers exiting and entering the event. Shifts are available so people aren't standing for 5hrs.
If anyone has a first aid certificate that's even better, the more the merrier.
There will be a meeting point at the Kirky Cinema stall at the entrance to the Kirky Town Hall, if stewards can arrive at 11:45am they will be directed to their post. Drinks will also be available for the stewards at the Kirky Cinema stall.
