Join Our Home Delivery Team – Volunteers Needed!
We’re currently looking for two dedicated volunteers to join our home delivery team on a seven-week rolling rota. This is a meaningful opportunity to support your community by helping deliver essential food parcels to those in need.
Your duties may include some or all of the following:
- Phone Duty: One team member will hold the duty phone and take calls from agencies requesting food parcels for clients.
- Afternoon Collection: Both volunteers meet at the shop in the late afternoon (Monday to Friday) to collect the required parcels.
- Parcel Prep: If parcels aren’t pre-packed, you may need to make them up before delivery.
- Client Contact: You’ll call the client to arrange a suitable delivery time.
- Team Delivery: All deliveries are always made by two people for safety and support.
This role is ideal for friendly, reliable individuals who enjoy working as a team and making a real difference.
Volunteers (aged 11-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
