Trustee Board Members

Do you want to help your local Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) support your local community? We are looking for new Trustee Board Members to join us. As a Board Member, you are responsible for the strategic management of the Bureau. Each CAB is a separate registered charity and for your local bureaux to be effective, a wide range of experience is required. At Penicuik CAB we welcome Board Members who are enthusiastic about sharing their skills to help their community.

The Board’s role is to provide overall governance for the Bureau, to set strategic direction, and to ensure that, as an organisation, we are providing the services required to support the community. What might you be doing?

· Attend board meetings regularly (approximately 8 per year), take an active part in the discussions at the meeting and take an interest in the work of the Bureau.

· You might have a specific skill you can bring to the Board (e.g., financial management, human resources, fundraising or legal skills).

· Help set policies, local objectives and Bureau projects.

· Provide enthusiastic support for Bureau volunteers and staff locally.

If you are interested in volunteering with Penicuik CAB, please send Sue Peart an email ([email protected]) with details of your interest.
