Trustee /Board Member

We are currently seeking to appoint new board members with specific skills to enhance our existing board membership. No experience is required as we are looking for individuals with life experience, but who may also have experience of any of the following,

Funding and grant applications,
Marketing and social media,
Event management and fundraising,
Monitoring and evaluation, and
IT.

As part of our Board, you will help us shape how the charity moves forward and be involved in delivering our strategy. As a trustee you will have a real opportunity to offer your unique skillset to help the strategic progression of our charity, working closely with other members of the Board and being prepared to take an active part in discussions and decision making.


The current Board are looking for people who value the difference small charities can make to local communities.


Experience required

Experience in/of any of the following: Funding applications, Marketing and social media, Event management and fundraising, Monitoring and evaluation, and IT.

An ability to communicate clearly demonstrating good judgement to other members of the Board and other stakeholders.

Understanding and acceptance of the legal duties, responsibilities and liabilities of trusteeship would be beneficial.


Interested and aware of the issues faced by families in need and a desire to be involved in an organisation that supports / helps such families.

Induction followed by Ongoing support from existing Board members.

Restrictions

Minimum age: 18
We do not feel able to take on volunteers under 18, and volunteers at Togs have no direct contact with children/vulnerable adults through their time at Togs.
