Animal carer

Do you love the outdoors and looking after animals? Then, this is the opportunity for you!

Siblings Reunited (STAR) reunites brothers and sisters separated in the care system, by providing the opportunity for quality and regular sibling contact.

Run from its unique farmland setting, it provides a safe, natural, calming and fun environment, where children can foster emotional bonds and help overcome the trauma associated with being separated from their siblings.

STAR has a wide variety of furry friends, needing your care. These include Chip & Dale, the goats, Maggie, Grace, Rose, Ivy & Violet, the sheep, and Barney, Bella and Ava the Shetland Ponies, (as well as numerous ducks, chickens, rabbits and guinea pigs!).

In addition to building animal care skills, you will also benefit from being part of a committed and friendly team of volunteers and staff. Come and join them!

Experience required

Applicants should be keen, enthusiastic and adaptable. They should be able to use their initiative but also to follow instructions/to do lists. They should have basic animal knowledge and caring skills, and be willing to feed, clean out and ensure the welfare of the animals.
