Chair

Pathhead Youth Project is seeking a volunteer Chair of Trustees to help guide our small local youth charity. The role involves attending two trustee meetings and two planning meetings with youth workers each year, providing supportive oversight and helping ensure consistency across our sessions. You’ll work closely with the Treasurer, receive full guidance, and play a key part in sustaining youth provision in Pathhead. No previous experience is required, and the time commitment is small but genuinely impactful.

• Good communication skills
• Ability to support and encourage others
• Basic organisational skills
• Comfortable contributing to discussions and decision‑making
• Ability to attend a small number of meetings each year
• Reliability and willingness to follow through on agreed actions
• An interest in supporting young people and community projects

Training details

A full handover and induction will be provided, including an introduction to the charity’s governance, youth work model, current priorities, and meeting structure. The Chair will be supported by the Treasurer and given access to all policies, templates, and guidance required. Opportunities for ongoing trustee development are also available if desired.
