Help create a welcoming space where carers and the people they care for can enjoy time together.
Our Group Support sessions provide unpaid carers with the opportunity to enjoy lunch, social connection and informal respite while attending alongside the person they care for. These relaxed gatherings help reduce isolation, strengthen peer support and offer a change of routine in a safe and supportive environment.
We are looking for compassionate and reliable volunteers to help support these sessions.
What the role involves:
Welcoming carers and their cared-for person on arrival
Helping set up and tidy away tables and refreshments
Supporting a friendly, inclusive and relaxed atmosphere
Offering conversation and companionship
Providing gentle support to cared-for individuals during the session
Assisting staff to ensure everyone feels comfortable and included
