Heritage Steward

We are a small group of local volunteers who formed in 2024 to open Preston Tower and Doocot in Prestonpans to the public, following a £1m repair project funded by the Scottish Government.
We staff the medieval tower house and doocot on open days and for small tours, performing basic cleaning and stewarding duties, giving guided tours and researching the story of this historic site.
We are looking for more interested volunteers so that we can increase the number of free open days.
