We are seeking an experienced volunteer to lead our Additional Support Needs (ASN) Club for children aged 5–10. Sessions include arts and crafts, sensory and tactile play, structured and free-choice activities in a safe, supportive environment. Groups are small (maximum 8–9 children) and supported by a youth worker and a volunteer. The role involves planning and leading inclusive activities, adapting to individual needs, and promoting communication, regulation and positive participation. Experience in ASN is essential.
We have a function room, a sensory room, and an arts and crafts room available for use.
Experience required
Patience and understanding.
A genuine interest in supporting others and understanding their individual needs.
Able to identify behavioural changes and understand that all behaviour is communication.
Adaptability and flexibility.
Travel details
Nearest train station and bus stops are roughly a 5/10 minute walk from the location.
Restrictions
Minimum age: 21
PVG required.
Background in ASN/support needs.
Availability
Frequency & commitment
