Teacher Assistants - Italian Language

We are a Scottish Charity who provide courses of Italian language to children and young people 5-17 years old (in Aberdeen at the Aberdeen Grammar School, Skene Street, Aberdeen AB10 1HT - Saturday mornings 9:30–10:30 (P2/7) and 10:30–11:30 (S1/5) and also online). We are funded by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
This position involves supporting the teacher during class time. The assistant helps students with activities assigned by the teacher and, if desired, can be involved in preparing materials and lessons.
These are two 1-hour classes held on Saturday mornings 9:30-10:30 and 10:30-11:30 for 27 Saturdays between September and May.
It is necessary to have a good knowledge of the Italian language and some experience with children and teenagers, preferably but not necessarily in teaching.
The assistant must be available to enroll in the PVG scheme and already have a residence, work or volunteer permit in the UK (we cannot sponsor this).
Excellent support and relevant guidance is provided to all volunteers. We refund any travel/bus ticket.s and if the volunteer has children 5 year old and older they can bring them at the lesson for free.
