Action for Happiness Volunteer

The mission of Action for Happiness is to help people create a happier world, with a culture that prioritises happiness and kindness. We do this by helping people get together regularly to learn evidence-based skills for happier living, feel a sense of belonging and commit to personal action to create more happiness, both for themselves and others.
Our work is underpinned by Positive Psychology. We provide daily actions people can take through our app and calendar, which has been used by millions of people. Our fantastic volunteers lead our online courses or coordinate our groups where members meet to learn tools to increase wellbeing and commit to action. A peer-reviewed Randomised Control Trial found our course provides significant benefits for happiness and wellbeing. We host regular live webinars with leading thinkers on happiness, wellbeing and mental health, which have had over 250,000 attendees.
Do you want to see more happiness and kindness in the world? We’re looking for dynamic Volunteers to be part of creating exactly that! Our volunteers bring people together for shared learning experiences, based on positive psychology, that boost the wellbeing of everyone involved. Our groups and courses can be run online or in-person in your local area.
The amazing 6-week Happiness Habits Course is designed to be run by pairs of volunteers. It features expert videos, science-backed exercises and the chance to form meaningful connections. Our course has been specially designed to gather the insights of the world's leading experts on six fundamental aspects of a happy and meaningful life: Gratitude, Self-Care, Relationships, Resilience, Kindness, and Meaning. It is a very impactful (many say life-changing) experience.
Alternatively, you can get involved by supporting a Monthly Group, bringing like-minded people together to learn evidence-based tools for creating a happier and more meaningful life. Explore the monthly themes and encourage people to set personal actions towards happiness, that support both themselves and others.
Volunteering with Action for Happiness is a path of action that consistently feels like you are making a difference in the world. You don’t have to be an expert - or be happy all the time. If you are a warm and enthusiastic person that is more than enough to get started.
