Female Language Support Assistant (English-Kurdish)

Are you fluent in Turkish and English and passionate about helping others build confidence with digital skills?
The International Women’s Group (IWG) is looking for a dedicated Female Kurdish–English Interpreter to support women attending workshops in Glasgow.
This role plays a vital part in ensuring Kurdish-speaking participants can fully take part in the session. You will help bridge the language gap, enabling learners to understand the content, follow instructions, and gain hands-on experience with digital tools and emerging AI technologies.
Many of the women attending may be new to technology or returning to learning, so your support will help create a welcoming, inclusive, and empowering environment where everyone can succeed.
Role Responsibilities
Provide consecutive interpretation from English to Kurdish during workshop delivery
Support participants to understand instructions, tasks, and key concepts
Offer one-to-one “over-the-shoulder” support as participants use devices, apps, or AI tools
Help to simplify technical language into clear, accessible Turkish
Encourage participation and build confidence among learners
Work alongside the facilitator to ensure the session runs smoothly
Help create a safe, supportive, women-only learning space
