Fundraising Volunteer

Orkney Dance and Fitness Ltd are a community‑focused fitness social enterprise dedicated to improving health, confidence, and wellbeing through accessible, low‑cost physical activity programmes. To help us grow and reach more people, we are seeking enthusiastic Fundraising Volunteers.
In this role, you will support our sustainability by researching grants, assisting with fundraising campaigns, preparing simple proposal materials, engaging with local businesses, and helping with community fitness events. You’ll also contribute ideas to raise awareness and attract new supporters.
Volunteering with us offers hands‑on experience in fundraising, community engagement, and health‑focused social impact work. You’ll develop valuable skills, work with a passionate team, and see the direct difference your contribution makes to people’s physical and mental wellbeing.
This role suits someone proactive, friendly, organised, and passionate about community fitness. No experience is required — just enthusiasm and a few flexible hours each week. Your support helps create healthier, more connected communities.

Support
Training details

Volunteers receive a friendly and structured induction covering our mission, community fitness programmes, and how fundraising supports our work. We provide clear guidance on tasks, access to templates and resources, and ongoing support from our team. Volunteers are encouraged to learn at their own pace, with regular check‑ins, opportunities to ask questions, and optional shadowing of fundraising activities or community events.
No prior experience is needed — we offer all the training required to help you feel confident, valued, and part of the team.
