Flexible – support us when you can. We ask for around 1–2 hours per month, with opportunities to get involved as your availability allows.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help champion the NSPCC Schools Service and raise awareness of the opportunities available within Glasgow.
As a Community Builder, you'll play an important role in connecting with local people, groups and organisations, helping more children benefit from the NSPCC's vital preventative work in schools.
Whether you prefer volunteering remotely or getting involved in your local community, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do
Using your local knowledge, networks and enthusiasm, you'll help us inspire others to support the NSPCC and our Schools Service.
Activities may include:
Sharing NSPCC social media posts and campaigns
Promoting volunteering opportunities through local groups and online networks
Building relationships with local organisations, businesses and community groups
Raising awareness of the NSPCC Schools Service and its impact on children and young people
Attending local events and engaging with community members and stakeholders (where appropriate)
Helping the NSPCC understand the best ways to connect with people in your area
The Support You'll Receive
You won't be volunteering alone. The NSPCC will provide:
A warm welcome and induction into the role
Role-specific training and guidance to help you feel confident and prepared
Ongoing support from dedicated NSPCC staff and fellow volunteers
All the information, resources and tools you'll need to carry out your role effectively
Free access to the NSPCC's in-house learning and development platform
Opportunities to meet, learn from and collaborate with other volunteers across the organisation
Regular updates on the difference your contribution is making to children and young people locally and across the UK
Reimbursement of agreed travel expenses incurred while volunteering

Travel details
This role can be carried out remotely, with occasional opportunities to attend local events and community activities in Glasgow.
Travel expenses
Any agreed travel expenses incurred while volunteering will be reimbursed in line with NSPCC volunteer expenses guidance.

Minimum age: 18
Availability
Volunteers (aged 18-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
