Aberdeen Independent MS (AIMS)

Do you have a couple of hours to spare on a Wednesday afternoon? Are you looking for an opportunity to volunteer with a local group who support people living locally with MS and other neurological conditions? Do you enjoy meeting with and chatting to new people? If so, we would like to hear from you!
We are expanding our activities and are looking for additional volunteers to oversee our new Technogym class which takes place at Kettock Lodge, Campus Two, Aberdeen Innovation Park, Bridge of Don, Aberdeen, AB22 8GU every Wednesday afternoon (there is car parking at the venue and if taking public transport the Firstbus number 1 bus stops just outside the location). You will help host the session, providing support to the participants and the class instructor, ensuring everything runs smoothly as well as providing tea/coffee and biscuits and by creating a welcoming, supportive and friendly space in line with our mission to empower people living with MS and similar neurological conditions to lead independent lives by providing accessible exercise, social connection, and wellbeing support.
Excellent support and relevant guidance is provided to all volunteers. Initially you will shadow one of our other co-ordinators who will also be able to provide support on an ongoing basis. AIMS have also been awarded a Kings Award for Voluntary Service in recognition of the outstanding volunteering at AIMS and positive difference we make for people and the community.
A fantastic opportunity to make a real difference for people. All help is greatly appreciated.
