Volunteer Administrator

A Community Council is a voluntary organisation set up by statute by the local authority and run by local residents to act on behalf of its area. As the most local tier of elected representation, community councils play an important role in local democracy.
Danestone and Persley Community Council would like to support an individual that is interested in local democracy and community resilience, at the grassroots level to assist us with administration tasks. This will involve working with the Community Councillors, taking action notes; responding to correspondence and social media support.
The Community Council meetings take place every 6 weeks at Danestone Community Centre, Fairview Street, Aberdeen AB22 8ZP. Meetings last approximately 2 hours and can be attended remotely.
Relevant training is provided and the volunteer will have full support from the Community Council. We can organise training from ACVO/TSI on relevant training required by the volunteer.
A fantastic, enjoyable opportunity to help make a difference for people and the community. All help is greatly appreciated. For more information please contact Lyndsay Johnstone, Chairperson at email: [email protected] or telephone: 01224828333
