CAPS Independent Advocacy

This project is for people who have lived experience of mental health issues who want to use the arts as a way to have their voices heard. People can get involved in Art as Advocacy through the Edinburgh Thrive Arts Programme, the Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival and Out of Sight Out of Mind exhibition. Out of Sight Out of Mind Exhibition is an annual multi-media exhibition which shows artworks made by people who have experience of mental health issues. It takes place in Edinburgh during October and now also as an online exhibition.
Experience required
No Expertise No specialist skills are required but you must have your own lived experience of mental health issues.
Restrictions
Minimum age: 18
This is the age range we are funded to work with
Availability
Frequency & commitment
Commitment Flexible 1 Hours, Fortnightly
Volunteers (aged 18-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
