Help Deliver More Than Food
Glasgow NW Foodbank is looking for a reliable and friendly Volunteer Driver to help collect and deliver food donations that support people facing hardship across our local community.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference and become part of our dedicated volunteer team.
What you'll be doing:
Driving the foodbank van to collect donations from supermarkets, businesses and community collection points.
Delivering food and supplies between our foodbank locations.
Loading and unloading crates of food donations.
Helping ensure donations are handled safely and respectfully.
Representing Glasgow NW Foodbank in a friendly and professional manner when meeting donors and partner organisations.
We're looking for someone who:
Holds a full, clean UK driving licence.
Is physically able to lift and carry crates of food donations.
Is available for a couple of hours on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings.
Is reliable, punctual and trustworthy.
Has good communication and people skills.
Enjoys working as part of a team while also being confident working independently.
Shares our commitment to supporting people with dignity and compassion.

Travel details

By train
The nearest station is Garscadden Station, which is about a short walk from the church (around 3 minutes according to local transport information).
Garscadden is served by ScotRail services, including routes on the Argyle Line.
By bus
A nearby option is the First Bus Route 1 along Dumbarton Road. Get off near Kingsway Flats, then follow signs towards Blawarthill Church.
