Board Director

Trust in Fife is a voluntary organisation, providing a range of services to homeless people and people threatened with homelessness throughout Fife. They are a Scottish registered charity, a Company Limited by Guarantee, and their activities are regulated by the Care Inspectorate and the Scottish Governance letting agency regulations.
They are looking for individuals who have a working knowledge of housing and homelessness, who can help them shape their services to better support people in this situation and have a genuine interest in being involved.
They are looking to strengthen their voluntary Board of Directors and are looking for people who have an ability to work as part of a team; an understanding of the pressures facing charitable organisations in the current economic climate; and a genuine interest in being involved.
This role will involve attending board meetings and making decisions for the charity alongside the rest of the board.

Meetings take place in Craig House, Ellon Road, Kirkcaldy, KY2 6FB. Car parking available.

Travel expenses

Mileage is paid at 45p per mile. Public transport rates are reimbursed.

Training details

New board members are given information about the organisation set up and opportunity to tour the sites and meet with employees. They are provided with an induction handbook including training on data protection and confidentiality and have opportunities to meet with CEO and other board members for ongoing training.
