Delivery of books once every four weeks to care homes and housebound individuals. Requires car drivers with own transport (mileage can be reclaimed.)

Experience required

The volunteer would require a clean driving licence and a PVG. Some light lifting of book bags would be required. A person who enjoys interacting between library members receiving deliveries would be desirable

Travel details

There is demand for Book Delivery across the authority. Book collection points would be located in William Patrick, Bishopbriggs, and Milngavie & Bearsden Libraries. You will be allocated to the library closest to you or off your choice

Travel expenses

45p per mile – as per claim submission
