Treasurer

Fife Headway are looking for a new Treasurer to join their Board of Trustees! This is a great opportunity to build on your skills and experience to help the work of a small charity in Fife.

Fife Headway exists to provide support, information and referrals for people with an acquired brain injury. They aim to reduce social isolation increase access to information and referral information and empower people with an ABI (acquired brain injury) to have more control over their lives. You'll be involved in anything from overseeing, approving and presenting budgets, accounts and financial statements, to informing and advising the board of their financial duties.

Duties:



  • Preparing and presenting financial reports.



  • Ensuring that appropriate accounting procedures and controls are in place



  • Advising on the financial implications of strategic plans



  • Monitoring the investment activity and ensuring its consistency with our policies and legal responsibilities



  • Ensuring compliance with legislation




Experience required

They are looking for someone with a passion for ensuring that high quality services are given to people with acquired brain injury, and who has the experience of financial controls , budgeting and applying for grant funding

Travel details

Linton Lane Community Centre, Linton Lane, Kirkcaldy KY2 6LF. Free parking , can be accessed by public transport. Some board meeting will be on zoom and some in person when permitted.

Out of pocket expenses will be paid.

Support
Training details

Headway will offer support as required, including an induction covering an understanding of brain injuries.

You are also welcome to attend free training on Roles & Responsibilities of a Board Member that Fife Voluntary Action provide.

Meetings arranged to suit those attending

Volunteers (aged 18-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
