MCR Pathways - Falkirk
- VO90135
MCR Pathways supports young people in or on the edge of the care system to realise their full potential. By providing relationship-based mentoring alongside employment and further/higher education services, young people are encouraged to discover and pursue their ambitions.
By becoming a volunteer mentor with MCR Pathways, you can help a young person flourish. Listening
and supporting them for just one hour per week has been consistently proven to transform lives. What’s
stopping you?
We match our volunteers with a young person who has similar interests, and we also consider factors such as career aspirations, background, and personality. Mentoring takes place in schools, Falkirk High, Graeme High and Bannockburn High School are just some of the schools we work with, and lasts for fifty minutes (one school period). The aim is to build a relationship with the young person, to listen to them and support them to help them achieve their goals.
If you are interested in getting involved or would like to find out more, then please do get in touch!
Experience required
We are looking for people who are willing to put the needs of a young person first and commit to meeting them for an hour a week. Anyone can become a mentor.
Travel details
Mentoring takes place at a secondary school convenient to the mentor's home or workplace - our website will be able to help you find the school most local to you.
