Could you help drive an Older Person to and from a local community tea party? Re-Engage tea parties are a monthly free group for Older People facing isolation and loneliness. Guests are invited along for some blether and refreshments because we all know how simply a chat and a cup of tea can change someone's life. The groups are held in people's homes and community spaces and we are looking for drivers to help accompany 1 or 2 older people to and from the group. Transport and mobility can be major obstacles for people being able to leave their homes so by helping you are helping to re-engage someone with their community. The group is on a Sunday afternoon once a month and specific dates and times are shared once in the role. You are supported in your role by other volunteers and a Group Coordinator who leads and organises the group and helps to match you to guests who are most local to you.
