Tea Party Host

Could you host a tea party for some local isolated older people? Re-Engage are looking for help hosting one of their monthly community tea parties in your home. The group meet for tea, cake, and blether to help connect and re-engage with the community. A chat and a cup of tea could change someone's life. You will host the group once or twice a year and all you need to do is pop some chairs out, stick the kettle or maybe even bake. This a low commitment role and can be flexibly fit around your schedule whether that is employment, caring responsibilities, education or other commitments. Usually the group meet on a Sunday afternoon for a couple hours but exact dates/times will be shared once in role. Due to the age demographic we require for your home to be accessible (less than 3 steps at any given point) and access to a bathroom on the same level. You will be supported in this role by other host volunteers, volunteer drivers and by a Group Coordinator. Your coordinator will organise which day and how many people etc. and communicate this to you.
